AUTHOR’S NOTE

I am Kaberi Chattopadhyay, born and brought up in the state of Assam, renowned for its bewitching natural bounties. I did my schooling from Assam and completed my graduation B.A.(Hons) from Calcutta University. Peeping Through My Window narrates the humble saga of my life, often punctuated with incidents that I believe readers would find both thrilling and interesting.

My simple yet eventful childhood spent under the supervision of my authoritarian father and docile mother coupled with the heartwarming relationship that I shared with my siblings, my exotic experiences of Army life spent with my husband, my visit to my ancestral house in Gobindopur village and the myriad experiences with the simple village people, my tenure as a teacher at Ramakrishna Mission and later at Army School Barrackpore would definitely take the reader to the extremes of entertainment, thrill and enchantment I believe.

Of these, MY BATTLE WITH CANCER is the most significant. After a prolonged fight, I emerged a winner by the Grace of the Almighty… I wish to proclaim my motto to the world…
