Bhanumati, the Forgotten Woman in the Mahabharata, is a rare book of its kind, looking at the epic entirely from a woman’s point of view. Dussala, Duryodhana’s sister, has also been portrayed here for the first time. Bhanumati questions some of the anomalies and contradictions in the Mahabharata story that have always kept readers engaged. What flowers did blossom in the Hastinapur garden? What perfume did Kripacharya and Duryodhana use? This book answers. Written in a pleasant and witty style, actions jump off every page. A must-read for all.
