The artist Pabitra Kumar Ganguly, being a rambling traveler, has encompassed a wide range of works of art inspired by the places he has travelled through. His spectacular sculptures, whether big or small, have touched the hearts of numerous art lovers with their magnitude, scale, and range.
“The sculptor has been consistent in his predilections to raise concerns, to proselytize, and to render the poetic space which holds his installations and sculptures, as he stands rigid, trembling, staring down, and expresses himself without hectoring stridency, well behind his desperate eyes lies the epistemology of loss—how to stand up, surfacing with a surprise,” as was rightly stated by Nanak Ganguly. This book is undoubtedly a milestone in the field of art in contemporary society.
Chisel Under the Hunter’s Shadow includes a visual presentation of Ganguly’s works and his interview conducted by Rituparna Khan.
