A wedding is to take place at an island resort in Kerala, a lavish wedding with celebrations spread over a week. The protagonist is there with her family and friends, and then the guests begin to arrive from all over the world, some from close by and some from far away. They come with their bags packed, and their baggage of stories, and as you read on, Satya,  the protagonist — at once a detective and a trouble shooter, digs in and unfolds the individual stories of the various guests. Some stories are pleasant, some intense, some innocent, some ugly, some spooky but all ravishing in their details, as they tumble out one by one, and we are left wondering if anyone in the world is actually like what s/he appears to be.
