Dedicated to wine, poetry, the spirit of the duet, the dialogic imagination, collaboration, song and to each other/us, as this beautiful collection of eighteen poems would not have happened otherwise.

The book Wine-kissed Poems by Dr Koshy AV & Jagari Mukherjee is a collection of eighteen poems based on the Sakhi concept found in Indian and Arabic/Persian/Urdu poetry, and extended to included poems to the Sakha as a response by Jagari Mukherjee here innovatively and beautifully.

The poems follow a pattern of starting with one to the Sakhi who then replies to her Sakha. First tentatively titled Wine-drenched Kisses, this renamed collection that may be extended in the future offers the readers a delightful experience akin to drinking cool goblets of wine in earthen pitchers to quench one’s thirst on a hot sweltering day and every reader who loves poetry will not only enjoy it but return to it repeatedly to get his or her fill of these tasteful and tasty draughts of the wine of ever-reviving poesie.
