Suman Chattopadhyay started his career in journalism in 1981, in Aajkal. Till today, he has fulfilled many responsibilities in Anandabazar, ABP Anand, Kolkata TV, Tara Bangla, his own paper Ekdin and finally in Ei Samay. He has created a unique style of writing which is almost inimitable. The proof of this is currently his own blog Banglasphere with objective writings and opinion. The son of a renowned historian father, Suman himself studied History at Presidency College. His mentors in journalism were Gaurkishor Ghosh, Hamdi Bey, Santosh-Kumar Ghosh.
