Completing her post-graduate studies in Bengali literature from Calcutta University, Patralekha Nath proved her love for history by making history a subject of research. ‘The Influence of Indigo Rebellion on Bengali Literature’ – her  research paper endorsed by Visva Bharati University has already attracted the attention. Many stories and novels written by her provide the backdrop of history. She started writing from a young age and taught for some time. At the moment, endless writing is her only passion. She regularly writes in Desh, Anandabazar Patrika, Sananda, Uneesh Kudi, Anand Mela, Ganashakti, Rasad, Coffee House etc. The 'Unpublished Diary of Revolutionary Avinash Bhattacharya' published by Virasat has been well received. ‘Ekti Prem O Jesuser Sandhane’ is her first published novel. Apart from writing, Patralekha has been engaged for several years in efforts to strengthen the education system for boys and girls in nearby tribal villages of Santiniketan.
