Gargi Roychowdhury
Gargi Roychowdhury was born in Kolkata in 1973. She completed her Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta in 2008. Since 2005, she has been professionally engaged in the field of public health and social epidemiology in India and abroad. She received a fellowship from the World Health Organization (WHO) and worked on medical research for many years. Her passion for literature led her to engage in creative writing. Since 2013, she has devoted more of her time to creating Bengali literature. Her short stories, poems, and travelogues have been published in various major literary journals and magazines. She has eighteen books to her name and has edited several others that have contributed to women's studies literature. Her short stories and a novel have been translated into English.
