Dr. Nazrul Islam (born 03 February 1954) holds an MBA from Jadavpur University and a PhD and D.Litt from the University of Calcutta. He is a retired IPS officer and the founder Chairman of Basantapur Education Society, which has established several schools and colleges.
He has written over 100 books.
