Currently Executive Editor of The Wall, Amal Sarkar earlier worked for The Times of India, Eyi Samay, Bartaman, Aajkaal, Pratidin, Karma Kshetra, Bharatakatha and Aakashvani. He started writing from the time he did his MA in Journalism at Calcutta University. His career in journalism began in the ‘Letters’ section of newspapers. For several years, he has been a visiting professor in the Department of Journalism, Calcutta University and various colleges. His journalistic tenure spanned three decades.
